  • producing a parallel bilingual word list by identifying known Koreanwords or expressions and relating them to English equivalents, and vice versa, noticing that direct translationsometimes does not work
  • preparing descriptions in both Korean and English aboutfamiliar topics, using modelled language and choosing vocabulary from word lists, discussing differences in expressionbetween the two languages with the teacher
  • creating bilingual texts for the classroom and the schoolcommunity using digital technologies (for example, posters, songs and online newsletter items), sharing ideas about howto represent meaning in different languages for different audiences
