Developed in partnership between AERO and Ochre Education, these lesson resources support the use of effective, evidence-based practices and address the learning expected in the Australian Curriculum. An exemplar unit plan provides guidance on the structure, sequence and decision-making made during the planning process.
This sequence of 10 lessons will teach students about six-digit numbers and their properties.
Lesson 1 Using and explaining addition strategies

Lesson 2 Using and explaining addition and subtraction strategies

Lesson 3 Adding and subtracting multiples

Lesson 5 Adding and subtracting using partitioning

Lesson 6 Rounding to estimate
