Accelerated Indigenous Mathematics

Abstract

The Accelerated Indigenous Mathematics program has been researched, developed, trialled and refined by the YuMi Deadly Centre at Queensland University of Technology. This three-year program is based on years 3–9 of the Australian Curriculum: mathematics, and can be used in any Australian school. It improves the mathematics learning outcomes of years 7–9 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students so they can access senior mathematics courses with the motivation and confidence to succeed.
