Humby skin-grafting knife, c1950

This is a 'Humby' skin-grafting knife, formerly owned by Sir Edward 'Weary' Dunlop, and made in about 1950. With an adjustable blade and a roller, the knife was used to remove sections of healthy skin of varying thickness for grafting onto damaged parts of the body to help them heal quickly.
