Thermometer used by Andrew Keith Jack in Antarctica, 1914-17

This is a thermometer, calibrated from -80 degrees to +110 degrees Fahrenheit, manufactured by the Cary company. It was used by (Andrew) Keith Jack on Ernest Shackleton's Trans-Antarctic Expedition of 1914-17, and is part of Museum Victoria's collection of artefacts from the 'heroic' era of Antarctic exploration.
