TLF ID A002450

Aboriginal history, self-determination and identity are examined in this teaching and learning eBook. The book draws on the lived experience of First Nations peoples drawing on historical record, cultural protocols and community connections to explore perspectives on traditional culture and leadership in the face of colonisation. Students will examine concepts of sovereignty and terra nullius and the contribution of Aboriginal Rights movements. They will examine the lives and legacies of Aboriginal leaders and consider the roles of contemporary advocates for change. The resource has a Victorian focus but would have relevance for students in all Australian states and territories. It is downloadable as an ebook or via a browser.
