Educational details

Key learning objectives
• Students see the relationship between 2D figures and 3D objects.
• Students identify the number of faces of 3D objects.
• Students visualise what is unseen in 3D objects.
Educational value
• Requires students to visualise and estimate the number of faces on a 3D object.
• Enables students to identify a range of 2D shapes as the faces of 3D objects.
• Enables students to rotate a 3D object.
• Enables the student to paint faces within a 3D object.
• Encourages cross checking of the estimate with the solution.
