Educational value
  • Provides opportunities to identify the language for a range of locations in Japan: the countryside, by a river and a school.
  • Exposes students to words and phrases associated with compass directions, wind speed and height.
  • Features a kite-flying display mode allowing students to fly their kite in the three different locations, and apply different compass directions, wind speeds and altitudes.
  • Demonstrates the interpretation of language through tone and gestures.
  • Gives all instructions and feedback in the target language.
  • Includes authentic photographic images of the Japanese countryside, a river and a school.
  • Provides an option to print a kite-flying scene in Japan, including a kite built and positioned by the student.
