Watch a demonstration of the size of a cubic metre (100cm x 100cm x 100cm). See how small a cubic centimetre looks when compared with a cubic metre. Estimate the volume of cuboid objects such as a filing cabinet, a DVD player, and icebox. Rotate a 3D grid to help you work out dimensions in centimetres. Estimate the relative volume of the different items. Use a 3D animation of each estimate to improve your answer. This learning object is one in a series of five objects.
