Help an editor to check an article drafted for a magazine. Examine a column graph showing how many young people have made firm plans for careers after school. Make sure the graph is soundly constructed. Look for any problems that may affect the accuracy of conclusions drawn from the graph. For example, check that markings on the horizontal axis are evenly spaced and increase by the same amount each time. Adjust the graph if needed.
