# Home internet survey: what?

TLF ID L3152

Explore what kids use the internet for at home. Choose a question to ask in a survey. Look at the percentages of kids that use the internet for email, messaging, homework or downloading software. Examine a table of results. Sort the data and use it to answer questions. Display the results using a suitable type of graph: pie chart, bar graph or histogram. Identify conclusions supported by the evidence. Write a report based on the survey results. This learning object is one in a series of three objects. The series is also packaged as a combined learning object.

#### Educational details

Key learning objectives

• Students interpret data from graphs and tables.
Educational value
• Students model the survey process, including the analysis and display of data.
• Automatically collates survey results in a sortable table and displays them in an optimal graph format (identified by the user).
• Provides a range of alternative answers, including scenarios where the evidence supports more than one conclusion.
