Search an island for clues to find a rare bird. Find Chinese characters hidden near the things they represent. Notice they are compound characters that share a common radical. Discover the related meanings of each set of characters. Sort all of the characters according to their common radicals. Identify the general pattern that the meaning of radicals contributes to the meaning of compound characters. This learning object is one in a series of two objects.
