  • This resource is useful for supporting the Australian Curriculum: History content description in year 9 relating to the short- and long-term impacts of the rise of imperialism on Australia and the rest of the world in the latter part of the 19th century.
  • This resource is useful for a study of the expansion of the British Empire in competition with other European imperial powers during the 18th and 19th centuries. It includes a series of maps showing the increase in territory gained by Britain during wars between 1793 and 1815 in North America, the eastern empire, the Caribbean and the eastern hemisphere, including Africa and Australia. Explanatory text accompanies the maps.
