It shows through a series of maps the extent of the British Empire in 1815, with three disparate parts: North America, the eastern empire and the Caribbean. It includes text, images and maps.

  • This resource is useful for a study of the expansion of the British Empire in competition with other European imperial powers during the 18th and 19th centuries. It includes a series of maps showing the increase in territory gained by Britain during wars between 1793 and 1815 in North America, the eastern empire, the Caribbean and the eastern hemisphere, including Africa and Australia. Explanatory text accompanies the maps.
