This is one of several an interactive web-based mapping resources from this web page. The Community Interests map focuses on the spatial distribution of community facilities within the Australian Capital Territory. Like other GIS (Geographic Information System) resources it allows the user to take a geographic perspective on mapped information. The resource allows the user to manipulate information on a base map to analyse and identify patterns, associations and trends, and to zoom in and out to a variety of scales. The site includes aerial photography upon which the user can impose data layers. Users can create project files to store and continue to work on their tailored maps.
