  • This resource is useful for the year 7 science curriculum Science Understanding strand. It includes activities that are relevant to content descriptions in the Earth sciences sub-strand referring to water as an important resource that cycles through the environment and about renewable and non-renewable resources. The section Pure water is relevant to the content description about the separation of mixtures in the Chemical sciences sub-strand.
  • This resource is also useful for the year 7 Science Inquiry Skills strand. It is relevant to multiple content descriptions such as: identifying questions; collecting accurate data; using scientific understanding; evaluating the methods used; and communicating findings and solutions.
