This is a student resource thatpresents 14 diverse Australians answering questions related to cultural diversity and beliefs, via video or text. Each person is introduced in a short video and answers a selection of questions. They speak from a personal perspective but reflect various races, cultures and belief systems. It presents answers to 20 questions suitable for all students, and a further 12 more complex questions suitable for secondary students.

Educational value
  • This is a valuable resource for civics and citizenship for upper primary and secondary students, particularly for the knowledge and understanding descriptions that focus on citizenship, diversity and identity. It presents numerous perspectives on these issues with 14 different Australians offering their personal perspectives in answering questions related to these themes.
  • It has considerable value for the general capability of intercultural understanding, with the various perspectives provided having relevance to all three organising elements of the capability. With many different issues and themes explored, this resource also has relevance to the general capabilities of critical and creative thinking, ethical behaviour and personal and social capability and to all three of the cross-curriculum priorities.
