Teacher guide We all need water

TLF ID M013721

This is a compilation of three teaching sequences about accessing water supplies. It includes sections on water uses, how water is obtained, delivery systems, technologies used to assist in the collection of water, and access to water and sanitation services. It introduces this global issue and provides ideas and activities for classroom use. It encourages use of information, photos and a case study to engage students in interpreting geographical information. Hands-on activities are used to research how water is collected and carried in some developing countries. The country of Niger is investigated to gain understandings about how water is accessed.
