This resource supports students to assess how the knowledge and cultural practices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples is being used to conserve and manage sustainable ecosystems and a sustainable future. Numerous short videos and links provide a rich variety of case studies. A task, including marking guidelines structures student research, sharing and thinking.

  • Resource provides a task so year 9 or 10 Science students can use the links to research and share examples of ways that traditional knowledge and practices have been used to promote sustainable land management practices, hence addressing the Australian Curriculum cross curriculum priorities, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures and Sustainability. Resource outlines a task that can be used to develop high order thinking as students are required to assess.
