An interview and lab tour with Dr Martina Doblin, a phytoplankton ecologist at UTS. Martina talks to students and their teacher from Concord High School about her work studying microscopic organisms such as the toxic algae that make up harmful algal blooms.

  • This is an excellent resource for year 7 to 9 science students as it deals with their biological science understandings from the Australian Curriculum as well as Science as a Human Endeavour. This resource addresses Sustainability, the cross curriculum priority of the Australian Curriculum. It particular it discusses the important of understanding producers in marine ecosystems.
