This 5 minute video segment from Catalyst shows a field trip with Dr Conrad Hoskin who has been scouring the tropical rainforests of north Queensland for frogs. He explains his research and the links between classification or taxonomy and evolution.

  • This resource addresses science understanding in the Australian Curriculum for year 7 science students, studying classification in biology and year 10 students studying evolution. It provides an excellent justification of why classification is necessary and demonstrates the nature of field work in taxonomy of frogs and reptiles.
