His vertical integration of food production from farm to plate provides a good example for the year 7 content description about the characteristics of entrepreneurs and successful businesses and for the year 8 description about the types of businesses in Australia and how they respond to opportunities.
  • In the years 7/8 Design and Technologies curriculum the video supports content descriptions in the Knowledge and understanding strand that refer firstly to the ways in which products evolve locally and regionally through the creativity, innovation and enterprise of individuals and secondly to sustainable ways of producing food in managed environments. Weston Farm was established in 1992 and the Weston family is committed to organic and sustainable farming practices.
  • The resource is also useful for the year 9 work studies curriculum.
