  • This resource is highly valuable for studies of Agriculture and Agribusiness in 21st century Australia, particularly in the context of subjects such as Economics and Business; Design and Technologies; and work studies. In the economics and business curriculum, Richard Weston's organic production of cut peony flowers is relevant to the year 9 content description about how and why businesses seek to create and maintain a competitive advantage in the global market. His vertical integration of food production from farm to plate provides a good example for the year 7 content description about the characteristics of entrepreneurs and successful businesses and for the year 8 description about the types of businesses in Australia and how they respond to opportunities.
