Video TAR-RU: The story of Lake Victoria

This 46 minute video explores the environmental and cultural impact of a dam on Lake Victoria in south western NSW and current efforts to protect the significant Aboriginal heritage and environmental values of the area. It provides a comprehensive historical case study about the Aboriginal culture at TAR-RU and the effect of European settlement on local Aboriginal people. This video demonstrates the value of collaborative approaches to managing the natural and cultural resources of Lake Victoria which involve graziers, water managers and Aboriginal people to devise new ways to address the degradation of this significant landscape.
