Educational value
  • This resource is designed for use with the Stage 4 content of the NSW Geography K–10 syllabus.
  • In ‘Improving Liveability’ students are required to develop a plan for future projects to improve their local community and improve liveability, based on genuine geographical data. This project is assuming that students have already studied the content and skills related to the Stage 4 Topic Place and Liveability from the K-10 Geography syllabus. The data gathering activity prompts students to think about the future needs of their community and the major project of a presentation asks them to pull their learning together to create a presentation on a possible improvement to their community.
