TLF ID M020509

This is a learning sequence exploring the characteristics and features of living things in the Antarctic. Students are introduced to the term 'species' and explore how groups of living things are grouped and categorised by their distinguishing features. A series of animal and plant picture cards are used to create a simple Antarctica field guide. Classroom Antarctica is a collection of teaching and learning activities for Years 3 to 8 that provides a range of short investigations on topics aligned to the Australian Curriculum. The activities are supported by resources sourced from the Australian Antarctic Divisions' scientific and environmental program.
