This sequence of guided dance warm-up videos is led by The Australian Ballet’s Dance Education Ensemble. The videos are designed to get students moving and encourage safe dance practice in the classroom. The videos are self-explanatory and can be used in sequence or individually as part of movement based activities in dance or physical education. Educational value
  • These resources are valuable tools to support classroom based dance activities particularly as they relate to use fundamental movement skills and simple sequencsing activities. They encourage students to be aware of their body parts and focus on simple locomotor and non-locomotor skills.
  • The videos will also be valuable for Health and Physical Education activities that explore fundamental movement skills and provide a platform to discuss the importance of warm-ups as a prelude to physical activity.
