This collection of resource sheets for students and teachers support investigations of the types of law in Australian and how laws are made through parliament and the courts. Activities introduce the concept of customary law and different perspectives about Australia's national identity. The resources are designed to provide pre- and post-visit activities following an excursion to the Old Court House in Perth but would also be of value as part of classroom units of work in civics and citizenship. Activities include research, vocabulary building, and include assessment tasks. Teacher resources are accessible using the password FrancisBurt2015.
