Compare the colours produced by light sources such as the sun, a standard light bulb and a fluorescent tube. Shine each light through a glass prism. Explain any differences in the mixture of colours of each light source. Shine different combinations of primary colours onto a white object. See if the colour is different from what you would expect to be produced if mixing coloured paints. For example, will combining red and blue light produce purple, magenta or white light? This learning object is a combination of two learning objects in the same series.
