  1. Students compile a list of ten suitable indicators (five economic and five social) that can be used to assess wellbeing in a country.
  2. Using data from Australia and an Asian nation they use the indicators they have selected to assess levels of wellbeing in the two countries.
  3. Their report should include information on these points.
     • What sorts of responses can address the wellbeing issues signalled by wellbeing indicators?
     • With reference to these countries and/or other countries in the developing world with which you are familiar, suggest reasons why variations in levels of development occur between countries.
