- Instruct students to use their knowledge of the two places they have researched to create a group narrative with a similar approach as The tale of Johnny Town-mouse. The key idea behind the story should be the similarities and differences of each place.
- Explain to students that each group story will need to include information on each of the researched categories. These can be included in a variety of ways, such as:
- Character 1 uses his map to find out how to get to Character 2's place (caption)
- 'When Character 2 packed to go and visit Character 1 at his place, she packed her umbrella because she remembered it is very wet there at this time of year' (text).
- Allow each group to decide how they wish to present their story. Some suggestions include: comic form, claymation, book, diorama. Discuss and confirm presentation styles with each group.
- Finally, share each group presentation with the class and display the presentations in the class or perhaps the school library.
