Scaffolding pedagogy: improving mathematics teaching and learning


To improve student learning outcomes in numeracy there needs to be a focus on developing teachers' pedagogies and knowledge. In this strategy, specific attention was given to enhancing teachers' content knowledge, pedagogical knowledge, and pedagogical content knowledge in numeracy. The particular goal was to improve the numeracy learning outcomes of Aboriginal students, but the strategy was beneficial for all students.
