Meeting Initial Needs In Literacy (MiniLit)

Abstract

The Meeting Initial Needs In Literacy (MiniLit) program is an evidence-based, explicit and effective model for teaching reading skills to small groups of young children who are at risk of falling behind in reading and related skills. It provides reading instruction for young struggling readers who have failed to make progress after their first year of formal schooling, and is inclusive of the lowest performing students.
