  • This resource addresses Science Understanding from the biological sciences in the Australian Curriculum for year 8 science students. It also addresses Science Inquiry Skills by outlining the procedure for testing a leaf for starch using an iodine solution, although safety issues are not addressed. It is best used in combination with other Intel resources in the series on the role of the leaf.
