Learning objects Aim to sustain: A world of difference

Students explore what is happening at an individual, community and global level and plan actions they will take. These may range from taking a quiz to sharing knowledge about being 'green' at home, through to planning a conference session to deliver to other students. The resource includes videos, SMART notebooks, worksheets and links to further interactive resources.

  • This resource addresses the Australian Curriculum cross curriculum priority, Sustainability for years 5 to 8 students studying Science and Technology, Science or a multidisciplinary unit. It also contains explicit activities to address the Australian Curriculum General Capability of literacy. This resource could be used independently of the other resources in Aim to Sustain, in which case, it is brief and focussed on decisive action about sustainability issues at individual, local or global levels.
