Part 3: understanding colour and colour schemes
In Part 3, students extend their knowledge and skills in painting, colour mixing and colour theory. They concentrate on warm, cool, analogous and complementary colour schemes, and select one or a combination of these four colour schemes for their final artwork.
They see the technical relationship of colours to each other on a colour wheel and learn about primary and secondary colours, tints (adding colour to white) and shades (adding black to a colour).
